Welcome back! We are all very excited to welcome returning and new students to Laity View Elementary for the 2023 – 2024 school year. My name is Mrs. Lisa Lawrance and I am thrilled to be your new principal. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for following the changes to our drop off and pick up procedure in the mornings and after school. When in the drop off/pick up lane, please remember to pull close to the yellow curb, remain in your vehicle, and keep moving your vehicle forward as the cars in front of you pull out to leave. In addition, the new bus lane on the south side of the island is for buses only and is not a drop off/pick up area, so please only drive through the bus lane if absolutely necessary.

Mon., Sept. 11: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm Group A (A – K) Kindergarten students attend
Tues., Sept. 12: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm Group B (L – Z) Kindergarten students attend
Wed., Sept. 13: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm All Kindergarten students attend
Fri., Sept. 15: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm All Kindergarten students attend
8:00 – 9:00 am PAC Coffee and Donut Morning Event: Boxes (12 original glazed) and individual donuts will be available for sale with FREE coffee for parents! $15 per box and $2 for individual donuts. Cash or debit accepted.
Mon., Sept. 18: All Kindergarten students begin attending all day
School Supplies: If your child is in Kindergarten, please pay the school supply fee of $65 on the parent portal. If your child is in Grades 1 – 5, please pay the school supply fee of $58 on the parent portal. Grades 1 – 5 Planners will be available soon and cost $7 (portal fee coming soon as well).
Consent Forms: Consent forms for students are available on the parent portal. These forms provide the school with information about your preferences for release of personal information, outside media directions, walking field trips (e.g. upcoming Terry Fox Run), emergency release, and so much more. These forms are important and need to be filled out and submitted on the parent portal as soon as possible. If you have difficulty accessing and completing these consent forms, please call the office for assistance.

Hot Lunch
Fall Hot lunches and Treat days are going live on Monday evening on Munch-a-lunch! To place your order you must log into your account. For families new to Laity View please create a new account at www.munchalunch.com (Kindergarten classes will need to wait until you have your classes).
Please note cut off days. To accommodate our vendors there will be NO late orders.

Volunteers
In order to make hot lunch and treat days happen we need a minimum of 30 helpers each time. It’s only usually one hour of the day to make these fun days happen. We take any helpers, grandparents, friends, anyone who can help carry a tray to a class! Sign up on the link below. We also have a WhatsApp chat for hot lunch helpers.
*Ideally we are looking for one parent from each class to step up each hot lunch and treat day.
