Dear Laity View Families,
Happy Thanksgiving! It is the time of year when we consciously think to give thanks for all that we have. Even though sometimes there are challenges in our lives, it is important to focus on all the wonderful opportunities and privileges we have living in the Lairy View community. A reminder that schools are closed on Monday for this statutory holiday. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.
Mon., Oct. 9: Thanksgiving Day – A reminder there is no school on Monday due to Thanksgiving statutory holiday.
Fri., Oct. 13: PAC Hot Lunch – hot dogs. Please remember to send a recess snack with your child on hot lunch days.
Mon., Oct. 16: Individual Student Photo Retakes (morning)
Photo Expression Orders: Photo orders placed by October 11th will be delivered to the school with no shipping charge. Orders placed after October 11th will be delivered with the retake photo orders, also with no shipping charge. Photo retakes are scheduled for October 16th. After the last orders are delivered to our school, then any further photo orders are subject to shipping charges and are delivered to parents’ homes.
Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders: When in the drop off/pick up lane, please remember to pull close to the yellow curb, stay in your vehicle, and keep moving your vehicle forward as the cars in front of you pull out to leave. In addition, the new bus lane on the south side of the island is for buses only and is not a drop off/pick up area, so please only drive through the bus lane if absolutely necessary.
Parent Portal Consent Forms: Please ensure that you have completed all the 2023/2024 SD42 Consent Forms on the portal. For example, we need the Yearbook Permission form completed in order to include your child’s individual and class photo.
