Can you believe October is here already? The autumn days are getting shorter, but the air feels refreshing, and the evenings are cozy. Last Tuesday, the whole staff came together to talk about this year’s school goals. Our staff is working hard to keep our students included, connected, and improving in literacy. A reminder there is no school on Monday due to Thanksgiving national holiday. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.

Primary and Intermediate Playground Repairs: You may have noticed the fenced off areas on both the primary and intermediate playgrounds. A huge thank you to our PAC for their fundraising efforts to replace the net on the primary spider web structure and to repair some features (slide, climber, balance beam) on the intermediate playground structure. After these updates are complete, then a new feature is going to be installed on the south side of the intermediate playground. Here is a catalogue picture of this new feature: Apollo with Floor. The students are very excited!
Photo Expression Orders: Photo orders placed by October 13th will be delivered to the school with no shipping charge. Orders placed after October 13th will be delivered with the retake photo orders, also with no shipping charge. Photo retakes are scheduled for October 23rd. After the last orders are delivered to our school, then any further photo orders are subject to shipping charges and are delivered to parents’ homes.
Laity View Team Colours: The leadership team is excited to announce our schoolwide team colours. We look forward to celebrating our school community and spirit with this initiative. Here are the team assignments:
