Dear Laity View Families,
We have had another great, albeit short, week at Laity View! We are excited about returning to offering field trips for our students. Our teachers have been planning all sorts of great visits to some wonderful venues. Thank you for your support and help driving for our various field trips. If you can help us drive, please note that we now require (a) the volunteer driver’s form, (b) the volunteer application/consent form, (c) proof of insurance (with your name on it either as the principal or another designated driver), and (d) your driver’s abstract from ICBC. You can drop them off as hard copies or email scans/photos of them to us at lv_reception@sd42.ca. Parents need to complete all the required paperwork at least 24 hours prior to any field trip and you can ask your child(ren)’s teacher to check if you have a current driver’s abstract on file or if you still need to complete any paperwork. A reminder that there is no school for students on Friday due to a non-instructional day. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.
Mon., Oct. 16: Individual Student Photo Retakes – If your child was absent on photo day or you would like your child to have retakes, then photo retakes are in the morning on Monday.
Tues., Oct. 17: Intermediate Cross Country Race at Alouette Lake Beach for those students who signed up. Go lions!
