Dear Laity View Families,
Last Thursday we honoured our veterans with our annual Remembrance Day Assembly. We had presentations from Mr. Neufeld and our Laity View singers and Mrs. Bailey’s class during the assembly. Although it was a short week, we extended this important topic beyond our assembly. Our students learned about the accomplishments of specific veterans and created many displays and artwork about Remembrance Day. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.
Mon., Nov. 13: Remembrance Day Holiday – No School
Nov. 14 – 17: Sport Ball Drive for Classrooms – We are requesting donations of new or gently used soccer balls, basketballs, tennis balls, footballs, and rubber playground balls.
Wed., Nov. 15: 6:30 pm Quebec Trip Parent Meeting (Library)
Fri., Nov. 17: 8:25 – 8:35 am Fist Bump Friday! Please join us at the front entrance of the school to start your day by greeting some RCMP officers and Safety Bear with a fist bump.

Three Way Reporting Conferences, Dec. 7 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Dec. 8 – Our teachers will soon put out a sign up for term 1 conferences on the parent portal. You have the option to conference in person or online. Please be sure to sign up for your desired allotted time of either online or in person conferences. This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 2. As such, please try to find alternate arrangements for your other children.
