Dear Laity View Families,
We are coming to the end of our second term and time is going too quickly. Even though there are still two weeks left until spring break, the time will fly past. Be sure to schedule your term 2 reporting conference with your child’s teacher. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.

Fri., Mar. 8: Lost & Found DONATED to charity
Sun., Mar. 10: Daylight Savings Time (clocks spring ahead one hour)
Mar. 11 – 14: Student Body Science sessions during school
Body Science Parent Information Presentation – Thank you to the PAC for sponsoring Corinne Underwood of Choices for Sexual Health to visit the school to work with parents and students in Kindergarten to Grade 7. Please join us for an informative Presentation for Parents on Monday, March 4, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the library. Student sessions will take place during the school day on March 11th through 14th. For more information about the student sessions, please check the Elementary School Program details on the Choices for Sexual Health website.
Lost and Found – Our Lost and Found is overflowing again. The items will be on display in the front entrance until Friday this week. Please encourage your children to take a look for items that may belong to them. We plan to pack up everything on Friday to donate to charity.
Three Way Reporting Conferences, Thurs. Mar. 14 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Fri. Mar. 15 – Our teachers have put out a sign up for term 2 conferences on the parent portal. Please be sure to sign up for your desired allotted time of either online or in person conferences. This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 3. As such, please try to find alternate arrangements for your other children.
Student Learning Surveys – If you have a student in Grade 4 or 7, parents are invited to complete a Student Learning Survey. This year, parents do not need a logon code to access the online Student Learning Survey. Electronic surveying is available until May 3rd. The website to access the electronic survey is: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey/access.htm. We invite you to take 15 minutes of your time to fill this out. The more parents who complete these surveys, the higher quality of feedback we will receive. Your input is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lawrance
