June 9th Update to Families

Dear Laity View Families,

Last week we participated in the district intermediate track and field events.  Congratulations to all participants and thank you to our staff who volunteered at the events and thank you parents for driving your children to and from Maple Ridge Secondary School.

This week we are thrilled to invite you to our inaugural Summer Send Off Concert, a special event that celebrates the amazing talents of our music students across all grade levels!  This exciting performance will feature a variety of music classes and promises to be a joyful way to wrap up the school year.  To accommodate our large school community, we have scheduled staggered attendance times:

• Families with last names A – J:9:00 – 10:15 AM
• Families with last names K – Z:10:45 AM – 12:00 PM

We look forward to sharing this musical celebration with you!

Tues., June 10:  8:30 – 9:30 am Parent Volunteer Appreciation Tea in the library

     2:20 pm PAC Up-Cycle Free Clothing Swap (outside near bicycle racks)

Fri., June 13:  9:00 – 10:15 am Summer Send Off Concert (Families with last names A – J)

     10:45 am – 12:00 pm Summer Send Off Concert (Families with last names K – Z)

     12:25 Hot Lunch – Hot Dogs (pre-order required)

     All Library books DUE please

Sun., June 15:  Every father is amazing!  Happy Father’s Day to all the dads everywhere!

Parent Volunteer Appreciation Tea – Our volunteer appreciation tea is scheduled from 8:30 – 9:30 am this Tuesday in the Library.  This is just a small token of our appreciation to thank those of you for helping to create another successful school year at Laity View.  If you have volunteered at Laity View, watch for your invitation to come home.  If for some reason your invitation doesn’t make it home, please plan to attend.

Laity View Library is Closed – Please take a good look under and behind the beds and the couches, between the cushions, and especially on your bookshelves to see if there are any Laity View materials in your home.  All books must be returned by Friday, June 13^th so Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Vernon can begin our library’s inventory.

Lost and Found – Our Lost and Found is already overflowing again.  Please encourage your children to take a look for items that may belong to them.  We plan to pack up everything at the end of the day on Wednesday, June 25^th to donate to charity.
