First Week of School 2023 – Wed., Sept. 6th – Fri., Sept. 8th

Wednesday, September 6^th  – Friday, September 8^th

Students going into Grades 1 through 7 for the 2023/2024 school year and new students go to the same classes and line up spots as Tuesday.  It is not necessary to bring school supplies; however, remember to pack a recess snack and a lunch.  Students will be dismissed to the same spot as Tuesday, unless the teacher has moved classrooms and communicated a new drop off / pick up spot to begin Wednesday.

New Kindergarten students attend a scheduled intake meeting with a parent / guardian on Wednesday, September 6^th.  New Kindergarten students have received a letter of instruction via the parent portal regarding their AM/PM groups and gradual entry schedule starting on Thursday.

For several reasons, we may not be able to organize students into “final” classes until Monday.  Many factors make it more challenging to fine tune class composition, and we may require extra time.  Therefore, students going into Grades 1 through 7 for the 2023/2024 school year will most likely return to their last year’s classroom for the entire week.  During our first week back, if needed, grade teams will do activities and assessments with students.  This will allow us to welcome students back, generate some good schoolspirit, and make stronger decisions about class composition.

Our regular daily schedule from 8:30am to 2:20pm begins on Wednesday, September 6^th.  Please do not send any school supplies until students are placed in their new classes.
