I hope everyone has had a wonderful extra-long weekend!
Today the Albion staff spent the day looking and discussing student progress and collaboratively worked towards setting our school growth plan goals for the school year. Information regarding the school growth plan will be shared at the next PAC meeting.
Last week our students started to prepare for the district cross country meet which will occur on Tuesday, October 17th for intermediates (grade 4-7) and on Thursday, October 19th for primary students (grades 1-3). Notices regarding the races will be going home this week.
Our grade 6 and 7 Volleyball teams are also up and running with their games starting last week.
On Thursday night, we hosted our Open House that was truly enjoyed by all. Thank you to Meridian Meats and to Save on Foods for their generous donations. As the PAC cooked up hot dogs for families, students enjoyed the face painting from SRT students Caitlin Donny and Cate Mainhout and the balloon animal art that was done by, previous Albion student, Liam Godfrey. A huge shout out to these three students for donating their time!
In recognition of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, on Friday Div. 1 and 2 with the help of our Aboriginal Support Worker, Jamie Roberts, taught all students a variety of Indigenous games.
This week we will have our 1st Fun Friday where we will have a Twin Day and the PAC will be selling Dad’s cookies at the end of the day for $1.00 per package of 2.
