Weekly Memo: October 20–24, 2025

Weekly Affirmation

“I rise to challenges and shine with confidence.”

Focus: Resilience and self-belief

Families are encouraged to discuss this week’s affirmation with their children and explore what it means to face challenges with confidence and strength.

Last Week’s Highlights

  • 🎉 Congratulations to Ms. Holman’s Class!
Winners of the Scare Hunger Food Bank Competition! Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we collected over 2,000 food items and raised $500 for the Friends in Need Food Bank. Amazing work, everyone!

  • 🏃‍♀️ Cross Country Success
Kudos to all our Primary and Intermediate cross-country runners who participated in the district races last week. We’re proud of your effort and sportsmanship!

  • 🌼 Daffodil Planting
A big thank-you to Mrs. Dinsa’s Grade 1/2 class for planting daffodils in the front flower bed. We look forward to seeing them bloom in the spring!

  • 👻 Spooktacular Halloween Dance
Huge appreciation to our PAC for hosting a fantastic Halloween Dance on Friday night! Special thanks to Chris Schultz-Lorentzen, DPAC Vice Chairperson, for donating his time as our DJ. A spooky good time was had by all!

Morning Opportunities

Students are invited to join these morning activities:

  • 🎲 Games Club in the MPR from 8:00–8:25 AM
(Please enter through the MPR doors in the undercover area)
  • 🥣 Breakfast Club from 8:00–8:20 AM
(Students arriving after 8:20 can pick up a grab-and-go breakfast. Please enter through the north side doors by the recycling bins.)

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is nearly full! Please take a moment to check for any missing items. Weather permitting, the bin will be placed outside at the front of the school.
