I hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend. Apologizes that last week’s memo was not put on the website as there was a login problem that the district needed to fix.
Although the last couple weeks have been short, they have continued to be busy. Many of our primary students grades 1-3 and many intermediates have been training for the district cross country events that are occurring this week. The intermediates will run at Alouette Lake on Tuesday and the primary event will occur on Thursday at the Albion Sports Field. Permission forms must be completed prior to the race day for students to participate.
Our weather is changing please do ensure that you send your child to school with a jacket for we do have West Coast recess and lunch where, unless the weather is incumbent, all students are required to go outside.
Universal Lunch
The Universal Lunch program is now up and running on Tuesday and Thursday’s through “Fuel Up.” All information about the program can be found on the school website under the Parent Tab. If your child is going to be away and you have ordered lunch, we will need to request that you come by and pick it up at 12:00 pm for we do not have the refrigerator space to store it for the next day. Any unclaimed lunches will be donated to other students. Please also ensure when you are ordering for your child you put the correct division number. All division numbers can be found under the Staff tab on the website.
Any parents who are willing to help deliver lunches on Tuesday/Thursday please contact Mrs. Dailey at tanya_dailey@sd42.ca

Albion Remembers
In part of our Remembrance Day observations this year, we are creating a display in our front entrance titled “Albion Remembers” to acknowledge members of our Albion Community who have served for their country. Students are invited to bring in photos of veteran family members for display in our front entrance. Please clearly label pictures with name/title of the family member in the image, when/where they served, student name and division. Please send in copies, not original photos. Photos will be accepted until Nov. 6th. Please send or bring copies of the photos to stephanie_downes@sd42.ca or paul_thompson@sd42.ca
Bruce’s Market
It is recognized that many of our families visit Bruce’s Market at drop off and dismissal. A reminder to please ensure that you obey the parking signs that are posted. Please do not block in customers or park in undesignated parking places. They are great neighbours, and we want to ensure that we continue to support them the best that we can.
Importance of Sleep
At our October assembly, Mr. Sheridan and I introduced the October school theme of Maintaining Health and Wellness. We shared with the students the 5 Health habits of exercise, drinking water, eating healthy food, eating breakfast and spoke about the importance of sleep. The following sleep video was shared with primary students https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aAmaCeq9v4 and the following one was shared with the intermediate students https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1433483843638.
