Our Intermediate Public Speaking event on Monday enjoyed by staff, students, parents and guest Judges. We listened to students speak about topics such as Reforming Peace, Cruelty to Animals, Pizza, and more. All speeches were entertaining, well thought out and delivered with confidence.
Yearbook Cover Contest
Calling all artists- it’s that time of year again! We are in search of a student created cover to showcase on this year’s yearbook. This year we ask that cover drawings represent “Community”. This can mean many things and is up for interpretation. Important places or landmarks in our community like our school, a local playground, the river, walking trails, favorite shops or hangouts. It can also be represented by those who make up our community: the school community, friends or local wildlife that are part of our community.
This contest is open to all Albion Elementary students and should be completed vertically on a 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper. Students are welcome to use any medium of their choice to illustrate their cover. The school name and year (2024-2025) can be drawn onto the cover OR left for us to digitally add. Please print your name and division # on the back in pencil.
Covers are due to Mrs. Reamsbottom by WEDNESDAY MAY 7th 2:30pm. Sorry no late entries will be accepted.

Reminder- Class Placements
We are beginning to create our classes for next year. Please be assured that staff devote considerable time, care, and attention to this process. This very complex and lengthy responsibility occurs over several weeks and continues into September when class placements are finalized. Throughout the year, there have been many opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child. Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully: social emotional skills and relationships, as well as learning styles, strengths, and needs. Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance these factors, as equitably as possible. If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to Mr. Sheridan in writing by Friday, May 16. Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name as these submissions will not be reviewed.
