We have come to our final full week of the 2023/2024 school year. This week is filled with lots of fun year end events. The weather is scheduled to change by Wednesday so please do ensure that your child is prepared with a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.
Congratulations to our intermediate students who participated in the district track and field meet last week at MRSS. We will be recognizing students who placed in events on Friday prior to the talent show.
Congratulations to Mrs. Matlock
Mrs. Matlock is being recognized this week as the recipient of the “Community Hero Sports Award” a recognition given out by Sports BC. We are so proud of Mrs. Matlock for being recognized for her endless dedication towards the sports programs in our school district.
Fun Day
On Friday we do have our school’s fun day. A hot dog hot lunch will be served beginning at 11:10 am. Order forms are due back to classroom teachers by tomorrow (Tuesday). We do have some left over frozen chicken hot dogs from the carnival. Although the order form did give a choice between beef and vegetarian, we would like to use these up. If your child is unable to eat chicken, please send your child’s classroom teacher a note.
Please ensure that your child comes to school dressed to be outside. The weather is going to be warm so please ensure that you send a hat, and water. Please also ensure that they have sunscreen on. Due to the safety and security for our students, this is an Albion student ONLY event. No spectators will be permitted.
Families are invited to watch the school wide tug a war on Monday, June 24th beginning at 1:00 pm.
