Terry Fox Donations
Our annual Terry Fox walk/run will be help on Friday April 26th, between recess and lunch.
Our goal is to raise $5000!!
IF we raise $1000 students will get an extended lunch
IF we raise $2000, the top ten fundraisers will get to spray silly string on teacher volunteers in the May assembly!
IF we raise $5000, Mrs. Matlock, Mr. Sheridan and Mrs. Dailey will have a tricycle race!
The class that raises the most money will get ice cream!
How to donate/fundraise:
The easiest way to fundraise is to have people donate to the fundraising page online at
https://schools.terryfox.ca/AlbionElementary
Students can create a custom page for themselves, so that we know how much money you fundraised.
Notices were sent home last week that contained a QR code for the website.
Pledge sheets can be found outside of the office, from Ms. Holman, or printed from www.terryfox.org
Please do not go door-to door!! Only ask friends and family members for donations. Donations of $20.00 or more can receive a tax receipt.
Track and Field
Our intermediate classes are busy getting ready for their track and field units in Physical Education. The Albion Intermediate track day has been set for Tuesday, April 30th at Albion Sports complex. It will be at this event that we will be determining this year’s Grades 4-7 Track and Field Team who will participate in the District Track and Field Meet in June. Please remind your child to come to school with proper foot wear.
Nature Park
Over the past week a restoration company has been busy working on the Nature Hut and the park should be reopening this coming week. Please do ensure that your child comes to school with proper footwear as only those with boots will be allowed to go down.
Lost and Found
The lost and found that was collected prior to Spring Break has been put into black garbage bags at the front of the school. If your child lost something prior to the break please ensure you stop on by to look through them for on Friday the items will be donated to charity.
