Welcome Back for we hope everyone had a great spring break!
The final 3 months of this school will go by very quickly so it is important that families take a look at the weekly memo as there are always many events occurring at this time of year.
Moving?
As we begin to plan for the 2026/2027 school year, please ensure you notify the office if your family will not be with us in September.
NeeDoh’s and other fidgets
(Sample Photo)
It has come to our attention that several students are bringing NeeDoh’s to school. We request that unless this has been discussed with your child’s classroom teacher, such items remain at home. We are finding that not only are these items becoming distracting to the learning environment but valuable classroom instructional time is being spent looking for these items. A reminder that the school can not take responsibility for broken, lost or possibly stolen items.
Vancouver Warriors
On Tuesday, the Vancouver Warriors came to visit our students. During the visit, the students not only met two of the players but they also were taught a bit about the game. If your family is interested in attending one of the last home games of the season, use the QR Code below to access 2 for 1 tickets.

Spring Running Club is starting up on April 8th
This spring, Albion will once again be having our Running Club. This is a great club for students looking to train for the spring cross country races, track & field or for someone who enjoys running with friends. Here is the information about our Running Club:
Days & Time: Mondays & Wednesdays 2:30 to 3pm
Where: Albion Elementary Netplex
Beginning Wednesday, April 8th, the Running Club will be running every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 to 3pm. To participate, students just need to show up any Monday or Wednesday to run. Ms. Mackenzie and Ms. Crisafi will once again be supporting our runners this Spring. Weather permitting, students will run a half kilometre route, entirely on school grounds, as many times as they want until 3pm. Certificates will be awarded for every 10kms that a student completes. Parents and siblings are welcome to participate as well. Running Club runs may be cancelled due to rain or other inclement weather at the discretion of the sponsor teachers.
If your child is in kindergarten or grade 1, they are welcome to participate, but we do ask that they have an adult at the school for supervision. Students are not always within sight of the teachers during this activity, so having extra adults, especially for the youngest runners, helps a great deal.
We will continue Running Club until the SD42 Cross Country events in mid-May.
SD42 KinderPLAY

Is your child starting Kindergarten in September 2026? We invite you to join us for SD42 KinderPLAY — a series of FREE play sessions held in Kindergarten classrooms to help children and families feel comfortable and excited about the transition to school. Parent/guardian participation is required.
