Welcome back and happy 2024! I hope all families were able to enjoy the winter break and had some great quality time together!
It looks like there is snow and very cold weather on the way this coming week. Please be sure that your child(ren) come to school dressed appropriately to go outside. In the event of a school closure, due to weather, all information would be found on our school district website at www.sd42.ca
A very warm welcome to Mrs. Denton as she is our new Grade 3/4 teacher. We will miss Mr. Jung and we do hope to see him as a TOC at the school.
The January universal lunch menu has been posted at Simply Foods. For information on the Universal Lunch program please look under the Parent Tab of this website.
On Friday our PAC has organized a pancake breakfast. All students are asked to please bring a reusable plate and fork. It may take some time to feed 540 students so please ensure that your child does eat breakfast before coming to school. A huge thank you to Superstore for their generous donations of pancake mix and syrup.
Also on Friday we are encouraging all students to wear a sports jersey in support of Ridge Meadows KidSport. All students are asked to bring in a $2.00 donation. All money donated will go to our local KidSport organizations. KidSport is a national organization that financially helps out families so that ALL kids can play sports. For more information on KidSports click here.
Our Lost and Found from the end of December has been put into 2 big bags at the front entrance. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of the week.
