CONGRATS!
To our Grade 6/7 Triple Ball team who had a great season! They played their last game at Pitt Meadows Elementary on Tuesday afternoon. It was wonderful to see how much their skills developed over the course of the season. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and kindness at all of their games. Special thank you to their coaches: Mr. H., Mme Chandler, Mrs. Lee and Mrs. McClain.
CHRISTMAS DONATION BINS
Our school will once again be creating food and gift hampers for families in need over the holidays. If you would like to donate a non-perishable food item or unwrapped gift, please bring it to the bins in front of the office. These bins are labelled “Christmas Hampers”.

HEALTH AWARENESS
We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school – this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to, COVID-19 symptoms) and staying home if ill.
LOST AND FOUND
The Lost and Found is full to the brim! Please ask your child to check if any of their items are in the Lost and Found. A reminder that if your child’s name is written inside their item, it makes is much easier for us to return it to them
Family Education Centre
The Family Education and Support Center is excited to have the following courses and workshops available for this winter.

Anger Monsters (8-12 years): This children’s program is designed to teach children 8-12 yrs old what anger is. This program is designed to allow participants to be able to identify their triggers and learn tools to help control their anger. The parents program features skills from Neufeld Institute, including various anger cycles and goals of behavior. Participants will also learn how to help support their child’s efforts to tame their anger, along with different calming techniques. Date: Feb 4- Mar 4 (Sat) Time: 330pm-530pm Cost: $90 *price is for 1 child and 1 parent/guardian*

I Am Awesome (Spring Break Camp): This course is designed to help young people with communication styles, triggers, “I” statements, looking at their special inner qualities, how to deal with stress and how to be a friend. We are offering two sessions. Ages 7 – 11 Ages 6-8 years Date: Mar 13 – 17 Time: 8am – 12pm Cost: $86/child Ages 9&10 years Date: Mar 20 – 24 Time: 8am – 12pm Cost: $86/child
STEPE: Developmentally appropriate parenting skills for children aged 0-6. Programming for children 0-6 is available. Date Jan 30- Feb 24 (Tues/Fri) Time: 1-3pm Cost: FREE
Parenting Resilient Children: Understand better what resiliency is and how we can foster it in our families. Please note, this workshop will take place via Zoom. Date: Feb 14 (Tues) Time: 10am – 12pm Cost: $15
Conflict Resolution Parenting: Learn how to use “I” statements, conflict management styles, trigger scale, active listening, paraphrasing and open questions for parenting. This workshop will take place via Zoom. Date: Jan 10 (Tues) Time: 10am – 12pm Cost: $15
Healthy Relationships: This 2-part course looks at the fundamentals of any adult relationship including the foundation, needs, wants, and communication skills. Date: Feb 4 & Feb 11 Time: 9am-3pm Cost: $90/per person *must register in pairs*
Men’s Anger Management: Explores the complex nature of anger, recognizing triggers, alternative methods of expression, and how to defuse anger. Date: Jan 15- Feb 5(Sun) Time: 9am – 2pm Cost: $90
Brave New You: Women learn about creating and keeping their boundaries, healthy communication, managing challenging conversations, expressing feelings and identifying personal needs. Date: Feb 4- Mar 4 (Sun) * no class Family Day weekend Time: 9am – 2pm Cost: $90

BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

SANTA MALL
Santa Mall is still collecting donations! If you have items for donation please bring them to the Santa Mall after school Wednesday, November 30th or 8am on Thursday, December 1st. They can be dropped off at the office in the bins labelled “Santa Mall”
Hunt through your bins, boxes and closets and pass along all your unwanted jewelry, candles (unburned), bath stuff (unopened), tableware, clothes (new w/tag), artwork, and holiday themed items etc. Wrapping paper, tissue, bags, boxes, bows and gift tags are always in short supply as well.
Shopping for students will take place on December 1 and 2, with a “Flash Sale,” for leftover items after school on December 2nd. Students shopping after school on the 2nd must be accompanied by an adult.
