GRADE 6 IMMUNIZATIONS– There is a back up date for those students who were absent or at Bookfest on December 5.
STUDENT LED CONFERENCES – If for some reason you missed your conference, please be sure to contact your son/daughter’s teacher to reschedule. The conference is a great way to celebrate successes, recognize weaknesses, and set goals for term 2. Once completed, the written portion of the conference will come home with your child. There is no need to send it back.
SASQUATCH MOUNTAIN RESORT PASSES– Complimentary passes were donated by Sasquatch Mountain Resort to all our students in Grades 1-7. These passes can be presented at the ticket counter and exchanged for a day pass. If your child in grade 1-7 did not receive a pass, please check with your child’s teacher as they may be planning a class activity. REALLY IMPORTANT LOST AND FOUND NEWS– TIME IS RUNNING OUT – Our lost and found is again overflowing with beautiful things. Please look (or make sure your child looks) for your lost items, as everything will be donated to charity before our Winter break. We are in the process of loading photos to our webpage.
PANTS NEEDED! – if you have any pants that no longer fit your child, we are always in need of spares in the office. Please consider donating them to the school. Socks will also be accepted. Currently, we have enough shirts. Thanks!
LIBRARY NEWS– Hey parents of Bookfest participants! There are some important dates coming up soon so please see below if your child is participating! Permission forms will be coming home with students soon! Parent drivers are needed for both of the following:

BOOK FAIR THANK YOUS The November Book Fair has wrapped up and we raised $2,646.72 for our school library thanks to our generous Kanaka Creek community. A special thank you goes out to the generous and hardworking volunteers – Jackolyn Wright, Sheree McNulty, Coral Widdowson, Marlene McCaffrey, Kirsten Mah, Lynn Roberts, Eva Mentz, Amanda Dodgson, Amanda Varma, Anthea Publow, Kathy Canales, Diane Sandor, Nicole Krahnbiel, Shweta Kulkarni, Brenda Gerbrandt, Cathy Josic, Shirley Thu, Stacey Sloan, Brandee Bzowski, Christine Strand and Jackolynn Wright. We couldn’t do it without you!
CHOIR MEMBERS: Reminder that each choir member needs a coloured t-shirt (to suit your Bug character), antennae and a small flashlight for the play on December 6th. If you need help making antennae- please contact Mrs. Courtney Reichelt by email: cdreichelt@gmail.com.
BASKETBALL NEWS– Basketball for 6/7 girls will be cancelled on Thursday due to Christmas concert set up.
GRADE 7 ENTREPRENEUR FAIR AND SALE FOR KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 6– Wednesday December 5th 8:45-11:45 in the gym (closed at recess). Students in the school from kindergarten to grade 6 will come to the gym on this day with their teacher (and possibly buddy class) to look at and purchase the products these students have made. Products include jewelry, games, bath products, Christmas decorations, and art with prices ranging from $1-$5. Parents are also welcome to attend. The creativity and hard work demonstrated by our grade seven students is very impressive. (Many of the products will be displayed in the case as you enter the school.)
Mark your calendars and remember to send your child to school on Wednesday December 5th with some money to spend.

- Popcorn Day DATE CHANGED DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICT: You can prepay now for the remainder of the year’s popcorn day. Our next popcorn day is December 4th. Please note: Online pre-payment for Popcorn Day fundraisers will close 2 days prior (4pm on Sunday) so that we can tally orders and ensure our teachers are notified in advance of all pre-payments. - Paint Night– We will be hosting a Paint Night at the Create Shop on December 2nd! There will be two times you can buy a ticket for 4-6:30pm or 6:30-8pm. Tickets will cost $55.00 each and will include snacks, 2 signs (grey stain), your choice of over 60+ stencils. You are permitted to bring your choice of beverage (alcohol allowed).
