Fifth Slide – Map of explorations
Put a map on your page that shows the following details – (use this as your slide background)
Coloured lines showing the routes he took ( you will probably have to do this in kidpix and then export it to the desktop as a jpeg and then add it to your slideshow)
Destination point
Oceans
Continents
Compass Rose
Key ( this explains what all the symbols on your map represent)
Sixth Slide – Other interesting things
Put any other interesting things you found out about your explorer on this slide, include pictures and any facts that didn’t fit into the other slides
Seventh Slide – Conclusion
What did you learn ?
When you are finished the first 7 slides – add
1) slide transitions,
2) use different fonts, colours, styles for your titles and words
3) add animations for your titles and words ( this is how they come onto the page, and what they do next and how they leave the page)
4) add sound to your slideshow ( under slideshow – record narration – you can record your voice – reading and presenting your slideshow)
and make your presentation a great one!
Eighth Slide ( only if you are done slides 1 – 7 )
Now make a cool kid pix presentation or scratch assignment that shows what you know about the life of your explorer – then we will put them in our powerpoint!
