Although we appreciate students being active, we have to stress that we need them to be safe:
- Students need to walk/push their scooters on school property. (Once off school property, they should wear helmets and display respectful and safe “scooting” behaviour for their own and others’ protection.)
- We have congested areas outside the building before and after school, and it is not safe to ride scooters among parents and students.
- Students are not allowed riding scooters on the walkways before and after school and/or in the hallways at anytime.
- Reminder too, that before 8:30 am and after 2:20 pm we are not providing supervision outside.
- Students are strongly discouraged to swing the scooters in circles, as this could injure bystanders and other pedestrians.
- Students are reminded to lock scooters up on the bike rack, rather than store them inside the building/office.
