If your child is new to the school district, use the school locator to find your child’s catchment school. Online registration for the current school year opens on the Parent Portal during the third week of August.
The Parent Portal registration process is as follows:
STEP 1 | OPEN A PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT You must open an SD42 Parent Portal account to access registration. You can complete this step at any time at https://parents.sd42.ca |
STEP 2 | SELECT THE REGISTRATION PERIOD Once registration opens during the third week of August, log in to your Parent Portal account, click on the “New Requests” tab and select “Open Enrolment Requests (New – Transfer – Withdrawal).” |
STEP 3 | PLACEMENT CONFIRMATION Once your child has been assigned to a school, you will receive an email notification confirming your child’s school placement and instructions on how to upload supporting documents to complete the registration process.The prioritization of transfer requests is guided by SD42 Procedures 9200.1: Student Placement. |
