On May 17, 2019 – we unveiled our new playground! The weather forecast warned of rain, so our Fun Day’s plan A, turned into Fun Day plan B. But the rain held off and we could unveil what could bea memory for life. Not everybody gets a new playground during a school career… This is huge! So, thank you to all who made this possible.
From long summer days to a few precious during the school day, and after-school hours, I need everybody to remember to play and don’t ever stop playing. The saying goes, we don’t stop playing because we get older, we get older because we forget to play. Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning. Play is serious business.
After play, the second most important life lesson is that of showing gratitude. There are studies that shows, the more grateful we can be, the better our mental health is. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. So, if you ever feel down – think of something to be grateful for… and go and play…. You will feel better!
So, let’s play, be grateful and be happy!
