Dear parents/guardians,
One of our students brought in a replica of a weapon for a school project today, not realizing that weapons of any sort – including replicas or toy weapons – are prohibited on school grounds.
We have a wonderful community here at Glenwood, and are committed to maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for our students. With Halloween coming up, I wanted to take this opportunity to send out a gentle reminder that weapons, weapon replicas and/or toy weapons are never allowed in school environments – whether as part of a school project or a Halloween costume.
If your child’s Halloween costume comes with a toy weapon, please ensure your child understands the reasons why they will not be able to bring this part of the costume with them to school.
