Update on Eric Langton Elementary replacement project

Dear Eric Langton Elementary families,

I am excited to share an update on the timeline for our Eric Langton Elementary replacement project. The tender for the project contract is nearly finalized and we anticipate site activity will begin in mid-May. At that time, fencing will begin going up around the site and preparations will begin for construction.

In the coming days before this work begins, I will share with you detailed information about the appearance of the site and what you can expect during the site preparation and building phases. This information will cover parking arrangements, entrance and exit locations, and how you can access updates and provide feedback on the project. Please be assured that careful consideration has been given to optimizing parking for staff and families and to managing the movement of traffic flow of construction vehicles effectively. As work gets underway, ensuring the safety of students, staff, and the public remains the district’s top priority.

The new school is still anticipated to open in January 2026.
