Dear Eric Langton families,
Please see below an update regarding the progress of the school replacement project and upcoming changes to site access required for the final phase of construction.
Project Progress
Construction is proceeding according to schedule, with approximately 80% of the work now complete. We anticipate obtaining occupancy for the new building by June 2026.
Temporary West Side Closure
Starting February 20, 2026, the north-west side of the school site will be closed for approximately three months to complete essential infrastructure required for the new building. The closed areas include the pedestrian pathway from 122nd Avenue and the existing playground, as outlined on the map below (impacted area in blue).

This temporary closure is necessary to complete several interconnected safety and code requirements that must be in place before we can occupy the new building, including installing the permanent fire access route and rollover curbs, constructing the new gravel pathway and exit stairs, and modifying the drainage pond footprint to accommodate these new access routes.
We know that the pathway from 122nd Avenue is well used and apologize in advance for the temporary inconvenience.
We appreciate your continued patience as we complete this final phase of the project.
