Dear Families,
Please take a moment to review the items below to ensure your children have a smooth week.
- A BIG thank you to all families who helped support our recent Terry Fox Event and fundraising efforts. Older classrooms had fun participating in the Terry Fox Run in their class groups on Friday. As a school we raised a remarkable $6000 dollars in support cancer research. This is the most money raised by any elementary school event that I have ever participated in. Amazing generosity!!! Thank you to Mrs. Windblad and Mr. Warren for organizing this year’s terrific event.
- There seems to be an uptick in covid cases in our local community right now. Please know our school is doing the very best we can to provide and safe place for the kids and we diligently follow the covid health and safety guidelines. This year, there is no general school notification for exposure events, but families of any students directly impacted will still receive a notification once Fraser Health has concluded their contact tracing.
All communication regarding covid cases is initiated and coordinated by Fraser Health.
- Just a reminder that this Thursday is the Provincial Truth and Reconciliation Day. We will be highlighting the significance of this day with kids through the week. We also encourage students, staff, and anyone else attending the school this week to wear their orange shirts as a visual symbol of support.
- This Friday October 1st is a District Wide Non-Instructional Day. There is no school for students this Thursday or Friday.
Mr. Wheatley
