Please take a moment to review the items below. There is some timely information regarding individual student photos this week so please read carefully.
- Health & Safety Reminders
Thank you to all families with students in grades K-3 for helping to get the kids comfortable with the new provincial mask mandate in the younger grades. The transition has been very smooth this morning. We know that there will be a few situations where students cannot successful/consistently wear a mask for a variety of reasons. The provincial document allows for flexibility with these situations. If your child experiences challenges with this new mask mandate please speak to Mr. Wheatley and/or your child’s teacher.
To help ensure that our wonderful school remains as healthy as possible please continue to be diligent with the daily health checks to ensure children are feeling well prior to coming to school. The K to 12 Health Check website and app can help kids and parents decide if their child should attend school based on their symptoms.
- Individual Student Photos are THIS Wednesday & Thursday (October 6 & 7)
The photographers are coming THIS Wednesday and Thursday to take individual student photos. We have divided the school photo shoot over two days to ensure greater safety by allowing for more time and space. Most younger primary classes are having their photos taken on Wednesday and most older classes are having photos taken on Thursday. Please check the list below to confirm which photography day your child(ren)’s have:
Wednesday – Salmon Pod, Bobcat Pod, Wolf Pod, Orca Pod and Mrs. Doughty’s class
(Friesen, Fisher, Charboneau, Tones, Woo, Affleck, Doughty, Kaake, Grant, Crowhurst, Low, Sylte, Pollock)
Thursday – Eagle Pod, Thunderbird Pod, Sasquatch Pod, Bear Pod, Raven Pod
(King, Franco, Chou, James, Barichello, Jacobson, Fuller, Lee, Bzowy, Peebles, Kenyon, Medeiros, Windblad, Warren)
There will be a photo retake day on Thursday November 4th for any students who are unable to attend their initial day or require a second photo opportunity.
- Our October PAC Meeting THIS Thursday at 7pm. Everyone is welcome!!!!
Our PAC meetings will take place by Zoom (for now) on the first Thursday of each month. Our next meeting is Thursday, October 7th at 7pm. All parents are part of the PAC and are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Zoom Link was emailed out to families today. If you did not receive the link and would like to attend please contact the school office.
