Please take a few minutes to review the items below to help us make sure things go smoothly for the kids in the coming days. All of our Portal Announcements are also posted on our school website if you every need to double check any school updates.

  1. Individual Student Photos THIS Thursday & Friday (October 15 & 16)

 The photographers are coming THIS Thursday and Friday to take individual student photos. We have spread the school photo shoot over two days to ensure greater safety by allowing for more time and space. The photography day for your child(ren)’s class is:

Thursday – Salmon Pod, Bobcat Pod, Eagle Pod, Wolf Pod

(Friesen, Fisher, Charboneau, Tones, Woo, Affleck, Doughty, Borghardt, Crowhurst, Franco, King, Chou)

Friday – Orca Pod, Thunderbird Pod, Sasquatch Pod, Bear Pod, Raven Pod

(Low, Kaake, Sylte, James, Brinkert, Jacobson, Wickham, Lee, Bzowy, Peebles, Barichello, Medeiros, Windblad, Warren)

  1. Thank you to the many families who have already returned the  Student Information Verification Forms that were sent home last week. Please make any changes directly on the form and return the signed forms to their teacher as soon as possible.

 

  1. c̓əsqənelə Spirit Wear is On Sale Now!

We are again selling our terrific school T-shirts and hoodies until October 22nd.  A paper order form went home last week with students. Click here for another digital copy if needed. For families interested in ordering any spirit wear simply complete and return the order form with either cash or cheque and we will do the rest. Please make any cheques payable to c’usqunela Elementary. We expect to have the school spirit wear printed and back to students by the third week in November.

  1. Only a Few Days Left for the PAC Online Coffee Fundraiser

Any families wishing to order coffee simply need to go to the online coffee store by following

c̓əsqənelə’s link: https://globalcoffeefundraising.ca/cusqunela . Families can purchase coffee online and then choose to pay to have their coffee shipped directly to them (via Canada Post), or they can opt to have it shipped with the group order to the school, which is free to them. Online ordering is open from October 5th to the 18th and pick up is on Monday, October 26th.

  1. We are still planning to do some COVID friendly Halloween activities around the school towards the end of next week. Your child’s classroom teacher will be communicating any classroom specific plans in the coming days. Many classes are going to be participating in c̓əsqənelə’s own pumpkin patch! We have made plans to have a number of pumpkins brought to the school for participating classes on Tuesday October 27th. In the coming days… classroom teachers will be requesting $2 per child to cover the cost of a pumpkin if your child’s class is participating.
