Dear Families,
Just a few additional items today to help keep everyone organized this week during this busy time.
- Term One Reporting is THIS Week! –Just a reminder that this Thursday (December 3rd) is an early dismissal for students at around11:30 for conferencing. This Friday (December 4th) is also a conference day and there is no school for students on this day except for their Zoom Conference. Classes will follow the usual controlled and staggered student release format for the Thursday early dismissal. We are very much looking forward to talking to parents about the students’ successes, growth, and next steps at these conferences! At c̓əsqənelə we really try to teach the kids to have a growth mindset and always remember. the word “yet.” No one is good at everything, and anything we are good at was learned and practiced. If there is something the students are still working hard to learn this just means they haven’t learned it “yet”.
- PAC Purdy’s Chocolate pick up is THIS Wednesday December 2nd at school from 1:30 to 2:45pm. If you have ordered chocolates from the PAC please highlight this pick up time in your calendars to help our parent volunteers to get all the goodies to their rightful homes.
- Beginning THIS Tuesday – c̓əsqənelə’s Second Annual December’s Kindness Challenge. To encourage our students to become kind and thoughtful community members we are inviting students to again participate in our Kindness Challenge. It has had to be a little different in our current context but we wanted to again emphasize this important message. Beginning Tuesday, there will be a daily kindness challenge that students can do at school and/or home. It is a great opportunity to highlight how kind words and kind actions matter and that their actions (small or big) can make a difference. We will share the Kindness Challenge with students tomorrow at our virtual gathering and have attached the Kindness Challenge Calendar here for families to support at home.
