Dear Families,
Please review the items below to help make this week a smooth one for your children.
- COVID Considerations – With COVID cases rising in the community we are asking parents/ caregivers to be particularly vigilant with safety protocols when picking up and dropping off students. Please remember to always try and maintain your social distance, consider wearing a mask in congested areas, and please keep your distance from the students when they are lining up each morning. Thank you!
- Please Help c̓əsqənelə be a Good Neighbour! – Recently a couple of families living close to the school have contacted us because during pick up/drop off times, vehicles are illegally parking in front, or on their private property. Please remember to allow adequate time for pick up and to not inconvenience our neighbours.
- Term One Reporting Update – By now you should have received information about our upcoming conferences on December 3rd and 4th using Zoom. These conferences will be 10-15 minutes in length and teachers have sent out classroom specific information. Please connect with your child’s teacher if you have not heard about your child’s conference yet.
- c̓əsqənelə Tuesdays! – Every Tuesday we invite students, and staff, to wear their school spirit wear (or clothing with positive messages) to visibly celebrate school spirit around the building. Please help remind your children to wear their school T-shirts and Hoodies on Tuesdays to get in on the fun!
- Candy Cane Colours Day is THIS Friday! – We are inviting all students this Friday to dress up in candy cane colours (red, white and green) and have a chance to receive a delicious candy cane treat! Each Friday until the break, our grade 6/7 classes are trying to bring and a little socially distanced fun and laughter to the school with a different activity.
Hope your week is a good one!
Sincerely,
Mr. Wheatley
