Dear Families,
I hope that you and your families have been managing to remain healthy, safe, and settled during these crazy past two weeks! I’ve been holding off sending out any weekly school information since the context seems to change daily.
As you know, last week the provincial government suspended in-class instruction indefinitely to help slow the spread of COVID-19. This means that students will begin to work with their teachers and instructional support staff in different ways over the next few weeks.
Later this week, teachers will be in direct contact with you to begin to organize continued learning opportunities for the kids. Our hope is to help normalize, and support, your family as best that we can in these challenging circumstances. Although the children’s learning will be different for next little while our school has a tremendously skilled and creative staff. I expect that you will soon have some very helpful conversations, information, and learning materials.
We will be contacting every family this week and will begin to provide learning opportunities for your chid(ren) soon after.
I will be sending more regular updates in the coming days to help make this new journey we are all taking together as smooth as possible.
Take care.
Mr. Wheatley
