Dear Families,
Just a reminder that this is the last week of the school year for students and dismissal is at 12 noon on Thursday. We have also received our student year books and will be sending them home with students today. Report cards will be sent home Thursday and staff are available until the end of the week if there are any additional questions.
As a school, we have had another outstanding year and it has been great to get back to “normal” school routines and activities!!! As the year winds down, there are a number of staff who have been critical to making this a positive year for students, and will be going to pursue new adventures next year. Please feel free to wish any of these staff well in the coming days if they have worked with your children:
- Ms. Windblad
- Mrs. Brinkert
- Mr. Wheatley
- Andrea (our Ab. Ed. worker)
- Jordyn (our Child Care Worker)
- Ms. Allison
- Mrs. Rutledge
- Ms. Berg (Strong Start)
- Mrs. Hague
- Mrs. Bloomfield (Speech & Language)
Other Reminders are:
- c’usqunela has again ordered bulk individual student supplies for next year. This helps us to ensure that all students have good quality materials for the entire school year. We will again ask parents for the school supply fee in September after students have been placed into their new classes. Next year the school supply fee has increased across the District by five dollars to $60 per child. If there are any families who wish to purchase their own school supplies simply email me at Jonathan_wheatley@sd42.ca before the end of July. Thanks. Mr.W.
- Our school’s Lost & Found is still on display beside the gym. There are a number of great clothing items still waiting to be taken home. If your son or daughter is missing any clothing please make a point of stopping by the Lost and Found tables over the next few days.
- Albion Community Center’s One Year Anniversary Celebration is on June 29th There are some great activities for the kids including a 3 on 3 ball hockey tournament.
Mr. Wheatley
