January 23rd Update To Families

Dear Families,

Just a reminder that this week will be our school’s “Winnie the Pooh Kids” Primary Musical.

Tuesday (tomorrow) is the school dress rehearsals and the parent performances are on Wednesday January 25^th and Thursday January 26^th @1pm. The gym doors will open at 12:30 and we are asking parents who arrive earlier to please line up in the school inside hallway by the front doors.

If you have children in the primary grades please remember to send their costumes each day they are performing. All students perform in the dress rehearsals tomorrow and then on either Wednesday or Thursday so please check the schedule below to confirm.

January 25^th: Woo, Ms. Jo, Grant, Kaake, Jacobson, Sylte, Franco, Fisher, Friesen

January 26^th: Charbonneau, Richardson, Affleck, Chou, Crowhurst, Smith, Pollock, King, Friesen (performs twice)

Other upcoming items are:

1. PAC’s….. Let’s Glow Family Dance on February 3^rd 6-9pm!!!!

Who: c’usqunela families- this is not a school supervised event, please accompany your child(ren) and join in the glow fun!

What: Family glow dance! There will be glow gear available to purchase (or bring your own from home!), a concession to purchase snacks  and three hours of glow dance fun featuring DJ Eagle Beats, c’usqunela’s very own DJ! Please bring a water bottle to rehydrate.

When: Friday, February 3rd 6-9pm

Where: c’usqunela gym

Why: Fun!!! And lots of it!

There will be a donation box for people who would like to donate to help support PAC initiatives in the school, but a donation is not required to enter.

2. PAC… Make it Sow Fundraiser!!!

Interested in gardening, or are you simply interested in getting a head start on your spring planting supplies?

The Make, It Sow Bonus program will also plant trees on our behalf. For every ten packages we sell, they will plant one tree in Canada on our behalf with the certificate, so if we sell 200 packages, they will plant 20 trees.  Happy Growing

3. Thomas Haney Secondary is hosting Thunderfest 2023 – Wednesday, Feb. 8^thfrom 4:00-7:00pm. Admission is by donation for this fun community event with games, a bouncy castle, prizes and a concession. Additional information can be found on the attached flyer.
