- Friday January 20th will be Hawaiian Day at c’usqunela. On this day we are inviting all students and staff to wear their best tropical wear… Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, tacky tourist outfits or whatever makes you feel like you are on vacation!! As part of this day the PAC will also going to be treating the kids to a hot dog each on this day (details below)!!!
Let’s kick off 2023 with a good, old-fashioned hot dog day!
This will be a completely PAC-funded event – no payment or pre-ordering is necessary. Our friends over at the Albion Community Centre have loaned us their beautiful kitchen, and a team of parent volunteers will be cooking and delivering hot dogs to each pod during the lunch hour (*we do suggest that you send snacks and other lunch items to school with your child as we will have a limit of one hot dog per student).
Given the fast-paced nature of the event and number of volunteers working to make this a success, we will be unable to take substitution requests beforehand. If you do not wish for your child to be offered a hot dog or if they are unable to eat one, please let your child know to decline. For students with dietary restrictions, we will have gluten-free buns and veggie wieners available (please remind your child to request one or let your classroom teacher know beforehand so that they can communicate this request to us when we arrive at the pod).
Don’t forget, January 20th is also Hawaiian themed, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled and memorable day for our kids!
