Dear Families,
Thank you for everyone’s diligence on only sending students when they are feeling well. I know that this can be challenging at times but it definitely helping to keep our classrooms as safe and healthy spaces. Please continue to be diligent with the daily health check ( K to 12 Health Check App) as this is single biggest thing we can do as a school community to keep everyone as healthy as possible.
Some reminders to be aware of for the rest of this week are:
- Every Tuesday is c’usqunela Tuesdays when we encourage students to wear their school wear (or positive messages) to build school spirit! For the month of January, we are adding Toonie Tuesdays to this routine, so the kids can help raise money for the playground too. We are getting closer and closer to our new playground and so every Tuesday this month we are inviting students to bring in toonies to help. Students who bring in donations will be entered in a draw for some fun prizes each week!
- Please Return any overdue HIVE Books! We had many kids signing out books to read over the holidays. We would love to get these books out to other students so if you see any overdue books lying around at home please send them back to the HIVE asap.
- Absences: Please continue to advise the school in a timely manner when you know your child will be absent to help us flex staffing to best meet the needs of the kids.
- Parking Lot Reminder: Thank you for everyone’s patience and slow driving in our parking lot area to ensure it remains safe for the kids! With the rainy weather we are seeing heavier traffic during pick up and drop off times. To ensure we continue to make this area as safe as possible for the kids … we ask that drivers please remember to drive as far down the school driveway as possible before pulling over to the right to drop students off. This allows more vehicles to safely drop off and exit the school parking areas.
Thank you,
Mr.W.
