January 16th Update To Families

Dear Families,

Please review the updates below to ensure you have all the information to make this week a good one for your child(ren). There is information about our next hot lunch day, next week’s primary musical, Friday’s Hawaiian Day with a free hot dog from the PAC, as well as a PAC family dance and seed fundraiser. 1. Hot Lunch Subway Day is on January 27^th!

Ordering opened Thursday, January 12^th and will close Thursday, January 19th at 9 PM

Please make sure you complete your order with payment. Any unpaid orders are not included on the food/class distribution report (ie. your child and will NOT receive lunch if your order is not paid)

2. Our school’s “Winnie the Pooh Kids” Primary Musical will be performed for parents on Wednesday January 25^th and Thursday January 26^that 1pm on both days. If you have children in the primary grades they will present on one of these days. Please check below to confirm which day your child will be performing. Additional information about the musical can be found here.

January 25^th: Woo, Ms. Jo, Grant, Kaake, Jacobson, Sylte, Franco, Fisher, Friesen

January 26^th: Charbonneau, Richardson, Affleck, Chou, Crowhurst, Smith, Pollock, King, Friesen (performs twice)

4. Friday January 20^th will be Hawaiian Day at c’usqunela. On this day we are inviting all students and staff to wear their best tropical wear… Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, tacky tourist outfits or whatever makes you feel like you are on vacation!! The PAC is also going to be treating the kids to a hot dog each on this day!!! More details to follow
5. PAC’s….. Let’s Glow Family Danceon February 3^rd 6-9pm!!!!

Who: c’usqunela families- this is not a school supervised event, please accompany your child(ren) and join in the glow fun!

What: Family glow dance! There will be glow gear available to purchase (or bring your own from home!), a concession to purchase snacks  and three hours of glow dance fun featuring DJ Eagle Beats, c’usqunela’s very own DJ! Please bring a water bottle to rehydrate.

When: Friday, February 3rd 6-9pm

Where: c’usqunela gym

Why: Fun!!! And lots of it!

There will be a donation box for people who would like to donate to help support PAC initiatives in the school, but a donation is not required to enter.

5. PAC… Make it Sow Fundraiser!!!

Interested in gardening, or are you simply interested in getting a head start on your spring planting supplies?

The Make, It Sow Bonus program will also plant trees on our behalf. For every ten packages we sell, they will plant one tree in Canada on our behalf with the certificate, so if we sell 200 packages, they will plant 20 trees.
