February 6th Update to Families

Dear Families,

There are a number of things going on around the school this week and next. Please review the items below to ensure things go well for your child(ren) in the coming days.

  1. A BIG thank you to all families who are diligently letting us know when your child(ren) is going to be absent or late in the morning. Families can contact the office either by phone  (604-466-6231) or by using the office email link on the school website. Knowing early which children are away allows us to more quickly ensure that any unaccounted children are safe each morning.
  2. Just a reminder that for all SD42 schools next Thursday (February 13th) is a Non Instructional Day and Friday (February 14th) is a not in session day. There is no school for students both next Thursday, Friday, and on the Family Day the following week (Monday February 17th).
  3. We had a fun school gathering on Tuesday with players from the Vancouver Warriors professional lacrosse team sharing their talents with the kids.
  4. Pick up for the PAC’s most recent Global Coffee Order will be this coming Monday, February 10th between 1:30-2:45 in the conference room by the main lobby. If you ordered coffee please make arrangements to pick it up during this time.
  5. The Ridgemont Townhome complex across the street from the school has been noticing some parents are regularly parking in their complex during pick up and drop off times. Please refrain from parking on this adjacent private property. We want to be good neighbours to the homes around our wonderful new school!
  6. Love Australia Campaign – This coming Monday and Tuesday (February 10 & 11) our leadership students have arranged for c’usqunela to be have its very first bake sale to raise money for their Love Australia campaign. All monies raised will be donated to help communities and animals impacted by the wild fires.
  • Primary students are invited to bring in nut free baking good donations on Monday.
  • Intermediate students are invited to bring in nut free baking good donations on Tuesday.
  • All students will be able to purchase items at recess and lunch on a first come first served basis. Please send a loonie or two on these days if you would like your child to have an extra treat.
