Dear Families,
A few thank yous and timely reminders for the week ahead are listed below!!!!
- Thank you to all families for helping to support our Student Inclusive Conferences this week. It is such a better way to share the kids’ successes, efforts, and areas for growth than simply sending home a report card!
- Thank you for everyone’s collective generosity to help the many flood victims in the Fraser Valley. Our school coin drive fundraiser raised an impressive $1400 that will send the local Red Cross Flood Relief Fund to help those impacted. Wonderful kindness!!! Thanks. The CQE Leadership Crew.
- This Wednesday December 8th is our school’s Young Entrepreneur Fair!!! Students in Mr. Warren’s, Ms. Windblad’s and Mrs. Fuller’s classrooms have been busy learning how to be small business operators. They have learned how to design, create, and market a number of really cool products for sale. On Wednesday they will be selling their items in our gym to interested students and staff. Unfortunately, due to covid limitations we cannot physically invite parents into the school this year but our talented young entrepreneurs have instead created a PowerPoint catalogue with all the products being sold at the Young Entrepreneur Fair in case there is something of interest.

As part of the Young Entrepreneur Fair on Wednesday our leadership students will be hosting a concession to raise funds for the Maple Ridge Christmas Hamper Society. This local non profit society supports hundreds of Maple Ridge families and is located minutes from the school by Planet Ice. Our student leadership crew is asking any families who are able to donate a box of commercially packaged and individually wrapped treats to support this cause to please send them to the school Monday or Tuesday next week.
Please consider sending in a little money with your child this Wednesday to support our young vendors and the Maple Ridge Christmas Bureau.
5. Our school spirit wear order has arrived and students will be given items ordered to bring home early this week. As a school community we try and make a point of wearing our school spirit wear (or other items promoting kindness) on c’usqunela Tuesdays!
