Dear Families,
I just wanted to send out an email update to remind everyone about our school’s initial community events coming up in the coming days and weeks. School construction is progressing well and our many other school needs are on track for an exciting first year! I will continue to send out updates via email, and post on the school website, until September when we are able to use the district Parent Portal like other schools. I hope to meet many of you soon at the events below!
- Just a reminder for interested parents that our first Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting is tomorrow (Thursday May 2nd ) 6:30-8pm at Kanaka Creek Elementary Library. Parents are automatically considered to be part of the PAC so come on out!
- Next week we will be hosting our first Welcome to Kindergarten Event on Wednesday May 8th from 5-6:30pm at Golden Ears Elementary. This is event is open to all NEW kindergarten students and their families (entering kindergarten this September).
- For all other students, I will be holding some fun welcome to c̓əsqənelə “Power Hours” at the Albion Elementary gym. Students are invited to come meet me, play some dodgeball games, and learn more about what to expect at their new school in September. The grade level groupings below are September grade level groupings.
Grade 1 & 2– Tuesday May 28th, 3:30–4:30 (Albion Elementary Gym)
Grade 3 & 4–Wednesday May 29th, 3:30–4:30 (Albion Elementary Gym)
Grades 5,6, 7– Thursday May 30th, 3:30 – 4:30 (Albion Elementary Gym)
