UPDATE (11:00 am): RCMP has lifted the Hold and Secure at Maple Ridge Elementary.
Maple Ridge Elementary is currently in a Hold and Secure due to a potential police situation in the neighbourhood. A Hold and Secure is used when there is a security concern, such as a police incident, in the neighbourhood of the school.
All students and staff are safe, and instruction continues.
We will provide an update as soon as Ridge Meadows RCMP lifts the Hold and Secure.
