SCHOOL PARKING LOTS
Our school is a very busy place during morning drop off and after-school pick up times. Please remember to be cautious when walking from your car to the school – always use sidewalks and avoid walking through the parking lots as much as possible. If you are dropping off on River Road, please ensure you are not blocking the entrance or exit to the school parking lots or drive-thru area as traffic can back up along the road when entrances/exits are blocked.
Thank you for helping us keep our school a safe place!

The district Spring Cross Country races are coming up soon!

POP UP CANDY SALE – bring a toonie
There will be a Haribo gummy candy sale after school on Friday, May 19th. The cost will be $2 per bag (cash only). Selling locations will be the main entrance of the school and the concrete basketball area behind Mrs. Span and Mme Alliette’s classrooms. First come, first served.
CLASS PLACEMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2023
We will soon be beginning to create preliminary class lists for next year. Please be assured that staff devote considerable time, care, and attention to this process. This very complex and lengthy responsibility occurs over several weeks and continues into September when class placements are finalized.
Throughout the year, there have been many opportunities for parents and teachers to observe, discuss, and get to know the students. Staff work together to consider social emotional skills and relationships, as well as learning styles, strengths and needs as placements are made. Our goal is to create safe, engaging, and inclusive classrooms that balance these factors as equitably as possible.
If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to the principal by email (Barbara_mackinnon@sd42.ca) by May 31st, 2023. Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name.
