THIS WEEK
The sounds of drumming resonated throughout the school as students learned with Elder Coleen as part of their Fine Arts classes. A snowy week brought our first snow day of the year along with lots of fun outdoor play. Thank you for sending your students to school with changes of clothes, snowpants, toques, mittens and boots!

CROCHET CLUB
There is a great new club at MRE! Student interest in the Crochet Club has exceeded expectations! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet new friends and learn new skills. We will gladly take any donations of yarn or crochet hooks. Donations can be dropped off at Mrs. Dillen’s classroom or the office. Thank you for your support!
VALENTINE’S DAY CANDY JAR GUESS! 🍫❤️
Think you can guess how many Hershey’s chocolates are in the jar? Bring your best guess—and a dollar—to the rotunda during lunch for a chance to win! Each guess is just $1, and all proceeds support the Grade 7 Quebec trip. The closest guess wins all of the Hershey’s kisses, with the winner announced on February 13. Don’t miss your chance to test your candy-counting skills and support a great cause! 🍬
MRE CELEBRATES KINDNESS MONTH IN FEBRUARY
February is Kindness Month! At MRE we will be encouraging students to participate in various kindness activities. One way to show kindness is for students to work on completing the Kindness Bingo Card (below). Students who complete their Kindness Bingo Cards will get their names placed on the Kindness Bulletin Board near the office. Please look over these acts of kindness and encourage your child to be thoughtful about who they can be kind to, and when they can complete each act of kindness. It’s not a race to complete the card, as they have all month to do so. MRE… where Kindness and Respect Matter Every Day!
