February is Black History Month. Students have been learning about Black scientists, politicians, activists, and artists who have left their mark on Canadian and American history. The range of activities learners have been engaging with encourages curiosity and nurtures multicultural awareness and respect for diversity.

MRE CELEBRATES KINDNESS MONTH IN FEBRUARY

February is Kindness Month! At MRE we will be encouraging students to participate in various kindness activities.  One way to show kindness is for students to work on completing the Kindness Bingo Card (below).  Students who complete their Kindness Bingo Cards will get their names placed on the Kindness Bulletin Board near the office.  Please look over these acts of kindness and encourage your child to be thoughtful about who they can be kind to, and when they can complete each act of kindness. It’s not a race to complete the card, as they have all month to do so.  MRE… where Kindness and Respect Matter Every Day!

Foundry News

 

The Foundry provides mental health care, substance use services, physical and sexual health care, youth, and family peer supports, and social services to youth aged 12-24 years of age. It provides drop-in counselling as well as various social events that your child can attend. This is a terrific way to build positive connections with others within the Maple Ridge community.
