The Intergenerational Community Garden is a community-based initiative of the Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Katzie Seniors Network and its partners. The goal is to create a lasting link between the young and old and provide food-skills learning opportunities while building a strong community hub in the neighbourhood.
The garden will bring together children, teens and senior participants to grow vegetables, flowers and herbs together as “garden friends.” The project is funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. For more information see:
