The BME Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a non-profit organization that supports BME and its teachers with resources and tools that enhance our children’s education and future. The PAC meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year and provides an opportunity to all parents and family members of students to get involved with the school’s activities and discuss issues and ideas related to your child’s education.
Please join us at our monthly meetings held at BME’s library. Children are welcome too! The gym will be open for kids to hang out.
Next PAC Meeting:
Thursday evening 7:00pm in the library: Dec.6th , .
Generally the 2nd Thursday of each school month.
All parents are encouraged to attend!
Meeting dates and times will also be posted in the newsletter and on the white board at the main entrance to the school.
What does the PAC do?
- The PAC helps fund our school’s gym equipment, library books, iPads, Fun Day and grade 7 graduation parties.
- The PAC helps fund classroom supplies, tools and field trips for all students and teachers.
- The PAC supports and involves all parents concerns, suggestions and comments about our children’s education.
Where do we get the funding?
The PAC, on behalf of Blue Mountain Elementary, receives some funding from the BC Gaming Association. But the majority of the funds is raised by our committed parents and family members, who volunteer their time in organizing various fundraisers in support of our school. All money raised goes towards the benefit of Blue Mountain Elementary students.
