We have had a busy couple of weeks. The Halloween Parade was a great success, the Fall Cross Country events also went extremely well, and just today we held two separate Remembrance Day assemblies, one for Grades 4-7, and one for our younger students. Thank you to the staff and students who presented for the school on this very important occasion.
This month our focus is on preparing for the upcoming Three Way Conferences. The teachers are helping students prepare their portfolios, work on student self -assessments, and practice conferencing skills with the students. Teachers will be contacting you shortly regarding signing up for a conference time in late November. Please ensure that you have chosen a time slot, as it is very important that you and your child attend the conference together. The written report itself is not enough to give you a full picture of how your child is doing. The three way conference also gives you time to ask questions, and, of course, to hear your child talk about his or her learning, which is the most valuable piece of all.
Lastly, there are many fundraisers going on as we approach the holiday season. Please choose which, if any, fundraisers you wish to support and ignore the others. There is no obligation whatsoever to participate. We appreciate your support to our school and supporting fundraisers is only one of many ways to show it.
Once again, please call or come in should you have any concerns or questions.
