Dear Fairview families,
I am happy to share with you that the restoration work to the interior of our school has moved along quickly. Fairview teachers were able to return to the school yesterday, and staff is working hard to ensure all the details that are important to students are put back into place and any final touches to the restoration work are completed. The school district has also cleaned and disinfected the facility so that it is ready to welcome back our students and staff.
We will be reopening our school for in-classroom instruction on Tuesday, November 24.
We know that our students, staff, and families experience a range of emotions when school life is disrupted. Nevertheless, it is very important for adults to lead with care and support, and for the school community to unite in kindness as our students return to their classes. We seek your support in respecting the privacy of those involved, and ask that our school community members not repeat any rumours but share any additional information or concerns directly with the Ridge Meadows RCMP.
We are all looking forward to seeing our students again. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, patience and understanding this week.
Sincerely,
Jenn Gallop
Acting Principal
