Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

The year has certainly flown by and summer is now upon us \u2013 especially with the long awaited sunshine!\u00a0 We would like to thank all of the students, parents, teachers, and school staff for an excellent school year at Yennadon Elementary!\u00a0 On behalf of all the staff at Yennadon, we wish you a safe, happy, and relaxing summer!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the last week of school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Annex Fun Day Stations from 8:45 \u2013 11:30 am, Wed., June 28<\/strong> \u2013 Several of our Annex classes will rotate through a few stations which may be located inside the Annex or at the Annex parking lot\/garden. Plans may change depending on the weather.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Grade 7 Leaving Assembly at 9:00 am, Wed., June 28<\/strong> \u2013 We look forward to celebrating the transition of our Grade 7 students and wish them every success as they continue their education at secondary school.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Year End Virtual In-School Assembly, Thurs., June 29<\/strong> \u2013 As a school we are celebrating this school year and saying a few farewells in a virtual assembly.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Last Day of School for Students, Thurs. June 29<\/strong> \u2013 The last official day of school for students is Thursday, June 29th<\/sup>. <\/strong>Final report cards will either come home with students on their last day of in-class instruction or be sent electronically via the Parent Portal. Dismissal is at 12:00 noon<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Yennadon Library Closed <\/strong>\u2013 Please take a good look\u00a0under and behind\u00a0the beds and the couches, between the cushions, and especially\u00a0on your bookshelves\u00a0to see if there are\u00a0any Yennadon\u00a0materials in your home. All books must be returned by so Mrs. White can complete our library\u2019s inventory.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Creative Pack Student Supply Kits<\/strong> are available on the parent portal and the school website. All orders are completed online at<\/span>\u00a0https:\/\/creativepacks.ca\/collections\/packs\/yennadon-elementary-school+<\/strong><\/a> .\u00a0 Packs ordered by July 3rd<\/sup> receive free shipping to the school and will be distributed when we return to school in September.\u00a0 Packs ordered after July 3rd<\/sup> will include a shipping fee and will be shipped to your home.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. School Re-Opens for Students at 12:30 pm on Tues., Sept. 5<\/strong> \u2013 Tuesday, September 5th<\/sup> at 12:30pm<\/strong>is the first day back for students going into Grades 1 through 7 for the 2023-2024 school year. On the first day back to school, students return to their previous classrooms<\/strong>.\u00a0 Dismissal is at 2:20pm.\u00a0 New Kindergarten students will receive a letter of instruction via the parent portal regarding their first day of school.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
