Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

This week we celebrate National Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.\u00a0 A huge thank you to our hard working and dedicated staff at Yennadon!\u00a0 A reminder there is no school for students on Wednesday<\/strong> due to a district non-instructional day.\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! May 8th<\/sup> \u2013 12th<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. African Bracelet Sales, May 8th<\/sup> to 12th<\/sup> <\/strong>\u2013 This week, the leadership team is selling African bracelets just in time for Mother\u2019s Day. Bracelets will be on sale at lunch for $10 each and proceeds go to support our \u2018adopted\u2019 family in Zimbabwe to help pay for them go to school.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Current Kindergarten Student Early Dismissal, Tues., May 9 at 11:00 am<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder that all current kindergarten students are dismissed at 11:00 am today.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. New Kindergarten Student and Parent Ready Set Kindergarten, Tues., May 9 from 12:00 \u2013 1:00pm and 1:15 \u2013 2:15pm (two groups)<\/strong> \u2013 Please come and have some fun at this mandatory classroom visit<\/u>for one parent and your child. Only one important adult<\/u> such as mom, dad, auntie or grandpa must attend with each child<\/u>.\u00a0 You will meet the current Kindergarten teachers, play some games, listen to a story, and we will take your child\u2019s picture too.\u00a0 Please meet in the Annex Gym<\/u> for registration<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please remember to bring your completed \u201cGetting Acquainted\u201d form if you have not emailed the completed form already.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. District Non-Instructional Day, Wed., May 10<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder there is no school for students on Wednesday, May 10th<\/sup> due to a non-instructional day.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. PAC Paint Night Fundraiser, Wed., May 10 from 7:00 to 9:00pm<\/strong> \u2013 This event takes place at The Well. Space is limited. Tickets cost $45 and are available on<\/span> Munch-a-Lunch<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  7. Spirit Day \u2013 Pod Colour Day! Fri., May 12<\/strong> \u2013 The leadership team invites students to wear colours according to their pod. A-Pod: red<\/span>, B-Pod: green<\/span>, C-Pod: yellow<\/em>, D-Pod: purple<\/span>, E-Pod: pink<\/span>, F-Pod: blue<\/span>, Annex and Portables: orange<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Registration for Summer Learning, until May 9<\/strong> \u2013 Parents can register for elementary and\/or secondary summer learning through the parent portal until 3pm on May 9th<\/sup>.
