Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome April!\u00a0 It is hard to believe we are already heading into the last three months of the school year.\u00a0Our intermediate students are beginning to practice for track and field, as such this week the roundabout is closed on Monday from 12:50 \u2013 1:50pm and on Tuesday from 12:30 \u2013 1:30pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also, a reminder there is no school for students on Friday and Monday<\/strong> due to Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays.\u00a0 We wish you an enjoyable long weekend.\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Yennadon Spring Cross Country Training<\/strong> for students in kindergarten to grade 7 is beginning this Monday. A reminder that all primary students must have a parent\/guardian accompany them every time they walk\/run the circuit on our field.\u00a0 Cross country training participants meet Mrs. Sinow on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30 pm<\/strong> on the basketball court near the playgrounds.\u00a0 If your child is interested, please complete the permission form on parent portal<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 Sock-Hop for Syria\/Turkey, Mon., Apr. 3<\/strong> \u2013 Please send $1 with students who want to participate.<\/span><\/li>\n

Kindergarten to Grade 7 Hip Hop Dance Program<\/strong> \u2013 We are excited to offer our students an opportunity to participate in a schoolwide Hip Hop Dance Program which runs for two weeks in April. Please submit payment for the hip hop fee (form will be available on the parent portal tomorrow) by April 21st<\/sup><\/strong>.\u00a0 Parents are invited to attend a show to watch their children perform on April 25th<\/sup>. \u00a0More information regarding performance times for each class to follow.<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. Student Learning Surveys <\/strong>\u2013 This year, parents of Grade 4 and 7 students do not need a logon code to access the online Student Learning Survey. Electronic surveying is available to parents of Grade and 7 students until April 29, 2023.\u00a0 The website to access the electronic survey is:\u00a0<\/span> http:\/\/www.bced.gov.bc.ca\/sat_survey\/access.htm<\/a>.\u00a0 We request you please take 15 minutes of your time to fill this out.\u00a0 The more parents who complete these surveys, the higher quality of feedback we will receive.\u00a0 Your input is appreciated.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
